The Raiders lost their father today. Al Davis, 82, passed away at his home early Saturday morning.

His career included assistant coach, head coach and general manager of the Raiders, commissioner of the American Football League, and the owner of the Raiders.

During his reign at the top of the Raiders, Davis is known for his passion for his team, the Raiders have had 28 winning seasons, including 16 in a row from 1965 through the 1980 World Championship season. In 34 of those seasons, the Raiders earned a record of  .500 or better.

The cause of death is still unknown and the Raiders said that the Davis family will release a statement later today.

Tomorrow, the Raiders travel to Houston to take on the Texans, and the Raiders motto should be simple: Just Win Baby, Win.
